Why should I choose a local company over a national company that services more than just Arkansas?

There are many reasons why choosing to support local companies vs national "chains" have benefits. 

  1. We provide LOCAL service year around. Many out of state companies hire young eager sales people to go door to door with "great offers" of FREE equipment IF you allow them to install the system THAT DAY. Within just a few days, that nice smile and quick install is GONE and you will never see any of those individuals again. We do NOT offer pushy sales tactics or annoying sales calls. Instead, we offer dependable LOCAL service with a friendly, FAMILIAR face for our customers YEAR AROUND. 
  2. Quick turn around on service calls. We make every effort to provide you with technical support over the phone. If a service call is needed, one of our certified technicians will be at your home or office within 24-48 hours, if not SAME DAY.
  3. Size DOES NOT matter. Being the largest security alarm company isn't always the best option. We aren't the LARGEST security alarm company in Arkansas, but we are one of the LONGEST RUNNING with a good standing with Arkansas State Police.

If you are a customer and are experiencing issues with your DSC panel, please look over the following frequently asked questions and give us a call with any questions or issues you may have. Most of these steps will require you to enter the MASTER code in the alarm panel. If you do not know the master code, you will not be able to make changes and will need to call our office for further assistance. Please note that these instructions are NOT for the 2GIG Automation Systems, ONLY DSC.
1. The clock on my alarm system isn’t right. How do I change it?
  • From the keypad press *6 , your four digit MASTER code (You should get three beeps. If you get a long beep, you are not entering the master code)
  • Then press 1 (you should get three beeps.)
  • Now enter the time in military time
  • Then press # key twice Example: For 8am *6 _ _ _ _ 1 08:00 ## For 2pm *6 _ _ _ _ 1 14:00 ##
2. The alarm shows a yellow triangle light (trouble light) and keeps beeping. How do I shut the beeping off?
Your systems shows this light when it has detected something wrong with the system (i.e. your main battery is low, connection error, etc.) If the system is beeping all you need to do is press *2. Call our office so that we can perform a system check to troubleshoot your alarm system. Most of the time we can correct the problem over the phone at no extra charge!
3. If my alarm is in “Trouble” can I still set my alarm?
Yes, as long as your alarm system still shows the GREEN ready light (check mark) you can arm and disarm your system. Do not ignore the trouble light for an extended period of time though, call our office so that we can troubleshoot your alarm system and correct the problem.
4. How do I turn the chime on the alarm on/off?
All you have to do is hold down your CHIME button for three seconds until it beeps three times (to turn the chime on) or lets out a long beep (to turn the chime off)
5. How do I change my 4 digit master code in my alarm panel? (You will need to know the CURRENT master code in order to proceed with the following steps)
From your keypad, press *5, then enter your current 4 digit master code (you should get three beeps, if you get ONE long beep then you are not entering the correct master code), then press 40, now enter the new 4 digit master code you wish to use, press your # key twice. To test the new code, enter the code twice on your panel. This should initiate the arming process & then will disarm the system.
6. I want to leave my windows open and still set my alarm. How do I do this?
You can set your alarm to BYPASS a zone for many different reasons. Most of the time it is during the nice time of year when you want to leave your windows cracked/open, but still have your alarm system activated to cover entry to the rest of the home. These instructions are also good when a particular “zone” is malfunctioning and you want to be able to activate the alarm until a technician can arrive at your home/office. To do this, follow these instructions:
  • On your keypad press *1
  • Then enter the zone you wish to bypass _ _ (i.e. 01, 02, 03,.......)
  • Then press the # key
You must do this EACH time you set your alarm, as this is a one time use code. This way the next time you set your alarm it will NOT automatically bypass this zone again.
7. I don’t have a home phone line or am looking to get rid of my current land line, are there alternative options to Monitor my Alarm system?
We currently have Cellular Dialers that can be installed for your Alarm Panel. These units transmits signals to the alarm room without the need for a landline. Our units are universal and can be used on any brand of alarm system. These can also be used as a backup to your phone line if you plan on keeping your phone service. In the event that the phone lines go down, this unit will send signals in it’s place, so you are never without protection due to no phone service. The Cellular Units are great for home or business. *Please note that not all DSC panels have all the options above, such as a clock. Even some of the older systems with side folding doors do not have * or # keys. If you have a panel as described, please give our office a call & we can offer you further assistance.
